Accessibilty in urban spaces

Accessibility addresses anything that reduces mobility. Beyond standard regulations, accessibility challenges us to rethink how to make our cities more comfortable and user friendly. We partnered with the CAUE Ain in its efforts to raise awareness and to demystify a topic which is too often treated in terms of necessity rather than innovation. Our work began and ended in the field – comparing situations with local players in a diverse selection of regional cities. We found three common techniques that improve policies: consultation from a broad base, a programmatic approach, and methodical evaluation over time.
