Size : 30 m2
> Edith’s garden is private and intimate with an open face to the public street. The design considers externals views from the street as well as interior views from the kitchen and the neighboring apartments above.
The finished garden is made of simple, unique details that bring structure and graphic quality. A path and patio is patterned from pieces of lumber and found paving materials. Custom metal retaining walls give height and depth to the garden. Systems for compost and capturing water are integrated. Plants are included for medicinal qualities and their adaptability to shade, in response to the enormous Acacia overhead. Subtle combinations of dark green, purple and lime green foliage bring layered interest and light to the shadows.
