Trail system plan
Lake Montrevel-en-Bresse is a man-made lake in a former quarry. The site is open to the public for recreational activities yet suffers from being randomly established over time, erosion and invasive plant species. The existing circulation loses significant connections with the surrounding town, pastures and the two adjacent rivers. Thoughtful trail planning is a first step to preserve and showcase the richness of this environment for a diversity of visitors. The plan provides specific direction to re-qualify circulation and management. Three loop trails are equipped with signage and facilities while the eroded banks are restored and replanted with native species.
